Lakeshore Museum Center Hosting “Little Learners” Program This Spring

The Muskegon Museum of History and Science of the Lakeshore Museum Center is hosting a special Play & Learn program on the second and fourth Thursday as well as the third Saturday of each month from 10-11 a.m. The program begins March 14 and will run through June 27, 2024.

“Little Learners,” a free literacy-focused initiative designed for Muskegon County’s youngest minds, welcomes infants and toddlers aged 0-4 and their caregivers. Participants engage in a captivating 15-20 minute story session, followed by a period of imaginative free play. The 50 to 60-minute sessions offer a rich blend of activities including songs, stories, sensory and motor skill stations, creative art, and much more, ensuring a fun-filled learning experience for both adults and children.

“This program is one of our favorites here at LMC,” said Lakeshore Museum Center program manager Patrick Horn. “The children love the activities and always leave with a smile having learned a lot.”

Little Learners is a free program, but registration via Ticket Tailor is required for all attendees, including caregivers and siblings. The program provides a free book for families to take home, as well as special crafts and activities to do.

Little Learners participants meet in the museum’s Education Classroom, with program themes including  Migrations and Shapes. Register using the following link: https://lakeshoremuseum.org/event/little-learners-play-learn-spring-2024/2024-03-14/
