The South Haven Van Buren County Convention and Visitors Bureau (SHVBC CVB) will be ringing in 2025 at their annual New Year’s Eve Celebration on December 31, 2024.

“Our New Year’s Eve festivities have become such special traditions for our community, and we’re excited to ring in 2025 with our most electrifying celebration yet!” said Jennifer Sistrunk, executive director of the SHVBC CVB.

This year’s celebration features a variety of fun activities, including mechanical bull rides sponsored by Big Blue Vacation Rentals. Food trucks Blackhawk BBQ, Sweet Escape, Camper Bean, Phoenix Street Wood Fire Pizza, and Taqueria La Tia Linda will be open from 5 p.m. until midnight, with a variety of delicious menu items available for purchase.

Family activities include the Noon Year's Eve Party, hosted by The Mitten Children’s Museum, and the Family Celebration at South Haven Center for Arts. Other activities and entertainment offerings include ice skating, photo ops, swing dance lessons, and live music by DJ Guy Voss and Nautic Bound.

The Visitors Bureau has also partnered with the VanBuren Transit Authority to provide visitors access to a free trolley around South Haven, with stops downtown and at outlying restaurants.

The celebration culminates at midnight with the annual Beach Ball Drop and Fireworks Show, at the corner of Phoenix and Center Street. The midnight countdown will end with 1,000 beach balls dropped over guests in the center of town, and attendees are encouraged to take a ball home as a souvenir from the festivities.

“New Year’s Eve is a wonderful time to explore South Haven’s incredible lakeside community,” Sistrunk said. “Many local lodging properties are offering deals for the holiday. It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the beginning of 2025 with friends, family, and neighbors!"
